Complete guide to permanently delete your Expense Tracker account and all associated data

⚠️ Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once you delete your account, all your expense data, categories, budgets, and settings will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account

Open the Expense Tracker App

Launch the app on your mobile device and make sure you're logged into your account.

Navigate to Profile

Tap on the "Profile" icon in the bottom navigation menu.

Access Data & Backup Section

Scroll down and tap on the "Data & Backup" section to expand it.

Tap "Clear All Data"

Find and tap the red "Clear All Data" button. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Confirm Deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear. Read it carefully and tap "Confirm" to proceed with permanent deletion.

What Data Gets Deleted

Personal Information

  • Profile picture and name
  • Email address and account details
  • Security settings (PIN, preferences)
  • App preferences and settings

Financial Data

  • All expense records and transactions
  • Categories and custom labels
  • Budget goals and limits
  • Analytics and reports data

Deletion Timeline

Immediate (0 minutes)

Your account is deactivated and you're logged out of all devices. Data becomes inaccessible immediately.

Within 24 Hours

All personal data and financial records are permanently deleted from our active servers.

Within 30 Days

Complete removal from backup systems and caches. No trace of your data remains in our systems.

Before You Delete Your Account

Consider these alternatives:

  • Export your data first using the "Export All Data" feature
  • Create a backup to cloud storage if you might want the data later
  • Contact our support team if you're having technical issues
  • Simply log out and uninstall the app if you want to take a break
